There are some stories which have just few words but contain deep meanings. So the listener must be understanding, because of the abundance of ideas despite the poverty of words. Three following stories will make us see that.
On a grassland, there was a lioness with her cub.
- Mom, where’s Happiness? asked the cub.
- It’s at your tail, answered the mother.
The cub tried to catch his tail, but he couldn’t.
The mother laughed kindly and said to her son:
- Stupid, you needn’t run after Happiness. But go forward proudly and it will pursue you.
Lesson: We needn’t run after anything. Just go forward proudly, then Success and Happiness will pursue us.
The blind girl didn’t have anything, except her sweetheart who was always beside her.
- If your eyes are well again, will you and I get married?
- Yes, we will.
Very soon after that, she was done corneas, and she could see the world. Then she found that her beloved was blind, too.
When he asked for her hand, she refused. He said nothing but this sentence, “Please take care of my eyes.”
Lesson: When something bad happens, will we put ourselves in other’s situation to behave well?
The son couldn’t bring up his mother.
He had the intention to bring her into the mountains and leave her there. So, in an afternoon, he told her that he would take her to the mountain for a walk. The mother was very eager to climb to her son’s back. All the way he thought he would climb high and leave his mother there. So he was very angry to find that she had scattered peas on the way long. He shouted:
- Why did you scatter peas?
- Stupid son, I’m afraid you will lose your way, going home alone.
Lesson: Our parents’ love will follow us all life, in spite of their old age and their remoteness.
